The Annual Samuel West Basketball Camp for 7th-12th grade takes place each summer at the Whitney Complex on the campus of Alcorn State University.

In addition to helping develop offensive and defensive fundamental skills, the camp will feature official games, individual and team instruction, game and highlight films, and guest speakers. Campers will have the option of commuting or staying overnight.

Steve McNair Camp

The Annual Steve McNair Camp to be hosted at Alcorn State University takes place every summer. The camp is free to the public (ages 9-17). McNair returns to his alma mater for the summer for his free one day camp at Alcorn State. The 2004 NFL Co-MVP will be the featured instructor for the non-contact football camp, which will stress the basic fundamentals of football. The camp will also feature guest speakers who will talk on a variety of subjects.

Campers will receive lunch, a t-shirt, goodie bag and autographed photo of Mr. McNair.
