Alcorn State, MS—The Shreveport-Bossier Alumni Chapter will host a Tailgating with the Braves Pre-Game Extravaganza on Saturday, September 3, 2011 from 12 pm-5 pm. The event will take place at State Fairgrounds of Louisiana next to the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum. The tailgating experience fee is $ 6.00 per person which will include food, non-alcoholic beverages, music, and a whole lot of fun.

Braves fans are also asked to don their Purple attire for this game. This effort will be known as the Purple Rain and is used to show fan support for Alcorn State.

Kickoff for the 2^nd Port City Classic is set for 6:02 pm. The game will be broadcasted live on www.ESPN3.com, and will air on ESPNU as a taped delayed broadcast at 9:30 pm CST. Also, the game will broadcast live on WPRL 91.7 FM and www.WPRL.org
