Alcorn tops Golden Lions 7-6 in SWAC Tournament

Alcorn Shuts out Southern 12-0

The Alcorn Braves defeated the Jaguars of Southern University 12-0 in Shreveport. The Braves will face the winner of the JSU/UAPB on Thursday at 3:00PM.

2010 ALL-SWAC BASEBALL HONORS ANNOUNCED

Kilby Perdomo of Alcorn State has been selected the 2010 Newcomer of the Year. A 6-2, 220-pound

junior designated hitter, Perdomo ranked tied for first in the conference with 10 homers this season. He

also led the SWAC in total bases (111) and was third with 53 RBI. A Miami, FL native, Perdomo was fifth

in the league in hits (67) and runs scored (56).
