Defensive End Malcolm Taylor Nominated for Buck Buchannan Award

All SWAC 1^st Team Defensive End Malcolm Taylor has been nominated for the Buck Buchannan Award. The 6-3, 258 pound senior from Brooksville, MS dominated for Alcorn State in 2009, with a total of 66 tackles for the season. Malcolm had a season high of 3.5 sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss versus Mississippi Valley.

Alcorn State University standouts cornerback, Roderick Williams and wide receiver Timothy Buckley, looks to be the next small-school players in line to play in the NFL as they signed as free agents. Williams will try out with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buckley as wide receiver with the Atlanta Falcons.
