Lady Braves Stay Alive with Win against Texas Southern

The Lady Braves got their first win at the SWAC tournament in Irondale, AL Friday afternoon against the Lady Tigers of Texas Southern University.  The Lady Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the second inning, but sophomore Brittanee Crayton hit a double in the third inning and then advanced to third base on a pass ball.  Senior Christine Garcia then hit an RBI to score Crayton for the first Lady Braves run. In the fourth inning junior Jasmine Hall hit a single to start the inning off, and senior Adriana Harrington hit a two run homerun to give the Lady Braves a 3-1 lead.   The Lady Braves 3-2 win gave freshman pitcher Deanna Rancilio her first post season win and allows the Lady Braves to play Jackson State University on Saturday May 1, 2010 at 1:00 pm.
