ALCORN STATE, MS – The Braves will host the Jaguars of Southern University this Saturday, October 6 on the campus of Alcorn State University. Kick-off is slated for 4:00 p.m. NOT 2:00 p.m. (as previously scheduled) at Spinks-Casem Stadium. The game will be aired on ESPN 3 at 4:00 p.m. CST and taped delayed for ESPNU at 9:30 p.m. CST.
Prior to kick-off the Alcorn State family will be honoring long-time supporter and alum Jerry Brooks for his commitment to covering Braves athletics the last twenty years. Brooks is a native of Fayette, MS and a 1993 graduate of Alcorn State University. He has dedicated his life to his craft as a photojournalist and has shown the world his passion for ASU through his lens. Due to medical issues Brooks opted for an early retirement from WJTV in August of 2012. We are honored to have the privilege of honoring him on Saturday during pregame.
