Irondale, AL--The Alcorn State Lady Braves shut the door early on UMES, capturing a 13-3 victory on Sunday at Irondale, AL.
With 13 runs in the first three innings, the Alcorn State Lady Braves left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
An RBI single by
Sylvia Archuleta, and in the first inning and an RBI triple by
Brittanee Crayton, , a two-run home run by
Rayanna Davis, and a home run by
Bianca Armstrong in the second inning supplied the early offense for the
Alcorn State Lady Braves.
Davis racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Alcorn State Lady Braves.
Alexandria Harris, Armstrong, Chqueta Givens, Crayton, Samantha Martinez, Davis, and Archuleta each got hits for the Alcorn State Lady Braves. Crayton led the team with three hits.
Chamara Moore kept the ball around the plate, throwing strikes on 49 of her 82 pitches. Moore struck out five and walked three for the Alcorn State Lady Braves.
