Alcorn State, MS---- After four scoreless innings, Belhaven cracked open the fifth inning scoring three runs. Alcorn State played excellent defense, but were unable to get on the boards.
The Lady Braves had five hits on the day while stranding six players on base. Infielder
Bianca Armstrong captured two hits on the day for Alcorn State. Jessica Paris picked up the win for the Blazers while
Melissa Rubio recorded the loss for the Lady Braves.
Alcorn State will return to action against conference opponent, Jackson State in a weekend series starting Friday, March 30, 2012 in Jackson, Mississippi. First pitch is set for 6 pm at the Jackson State University Softball Complex.
