Sylvia Archuleta collected three hits, helping the Lady
Braves to a 4-3 victory over Alabama State University on Sunday at Alcorn State. She singled in the first, third, and fifth innings.
Kassandra Duncan recorded the win for Alcorn State. She allowed three runs over seven innings. The Lady Braves pitcher struck out one, walked one and surrendered eight hits.
The top of the first saw Alabama State University take an early lead, 2-0. Alabama State University's rally started when Brittnei Price singled. A single by Sosefina Toilolo then moved Price from first to third. Then a two-run error scored Price and Toilolo.
Alcorn scored one run in each of the first, third, fifth, and seventh. In the first, the Lady Braves scored on a groundout by Bianca Armstrong, plating Chqueta Givens.
