ALCORN STATE, MS - The Alcorn State football team practiced for 90 minutes on Thursday outside the Davey Whitney Health, Physical Education and Recreation Practice Facility as they put the final touches on the game plan for conference foe Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
The Braves hosts the Golden Lions of the University of Arkansas- Pine Bluff for a 2:00 p.m. clash at Spinks-Casem Stadium on Saturday, September 15. The game will be broadcasted on Alcorn's radio station WPRL 90.1 with Charles Edmond calling the action and Cedric Tillman on the sidelines.
Alcorn is 1-1 on the season after a 42-3 loss to James Madison University last Saturday in Harrisonburg, VA. The Braves enters this competition 1-0 in conference play after defeating the Southwestern Athletic Conference defending champions, Grambling State in the Port City Classic, September 1.
"Arkansas-Pine Bluff is a solid team, we definitely have a challenge ahead of us," Alcorn's assistant head coach
Fred McNair said. "Most of the week has been dedicated to getting the guys to execute on both sides of the ball.”
