Over the weekend, the Braves improved their record to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in SWAC play as they defeated Grambling in the 30th Annual Circle City Classic. Listed below are some key factors that took place in the Braves huge victory over Grambling:

With the win on Saturday, Head Coach Jay Hopson has a winning percentage of .500 with an overall record of 9-9.

The Braves moved up a spot in scoring offense now averaging 37.3 points per game which ranks them second in the SWAC after Saturday's win.

For the second consecutive week, the Braves offense accumulated over 500 yards of total offense vs. Grambling (288 rushing and 254 passing) while the defense only allowed 162 yards.

The Braves secondary held Grambling to 30 yards passing on Saturday in the 30th Annual Circle City Classic. The secondary is still ranked No. 1 in the SWAC in Pass Defense and have slid up the rankings in the FCS Pass Defense category to the No. 2 slot.

The Braves shutout Warner and Grambling in back-to-back games which hasn't happened since 1975 when the Braves shutout Bishop 25-0 and Prairie View 15-0.

Senior running back Arnold Walker carried the ball 19 times for 110 yards and two touchdowns and earned Circle City Classic Offensive MVP honors. It was second straight week that Walker rushed for over 100 yards and scored two touchdowns.

Junior defensive back Hendrick Taylor was named Circle City Classic Defensive MVP. Taylor recorded four tackles, one interception, and 2.5 tackles for a loss. He also recovered a fumble on a blocked punt, had one pass deflection, and one quarterback hurry.

Quarterbacks Zerick Rollins, Jr. rushed for two touchdowns of two and 13 in Saturday's victory over Grambling.

Junior wide receiver Tollette George went over 100 yards receiving for the second consecutive week catching seven passes for 107 yards.

Junior safety Devon Francois led the Braves on defense recording eight tackles (5 solo, 3 assist).

Freshman kicker Haiden McCraney recorded another stellar performance nailing two field goals of 23 and 27 yards and finishing the game 6-for-6 in PATs. McCraney also averaged 62.1 yards per kickoff and punted three balls inside the 20-yard line with his longest being for 50 yards.

Senior defensive back Jamison Knox tied his season-high with three pass break-ups against Grambling. He is now ranked 4th in the conference.
