Box Score Lorman, Miss.-The Alcorn State Sports Information Department has announced sophomore wide receiver
Jarvis Turner and junior linebacker Will Thomas as offensive and defensive players of the week.
Turner, a 6-2, 203-pound native of Mobile, Ala. led the Braves in all-purpose yards with 120 (67 return yards and 53 receiving yards). He also caught his first career touchdown for 44-yards in Saturday's lost to Alabama State.
Thomas, a 6-0, 240 pound native of Thomasville, Ga. registered 13 tackles (7 solo and 6 assists). He also recorded 2 tackles for a loss and one loss.
The Braves are back in action this Saturday as they welcome the Royals of Warner University for homecoming. Kickoff is set to begin at 2:00 p.m. at Spinks-Casem Stadium.
