Lorman, Miss.-Only eight days remain until the Braves home opener vs. Edward Waters next Saturday and the Braves continue to improve in several areas. Yesterday the Braves completed their fifth two-a-day practice.
The quarterback position is heating with every single player picking up the pace and moving the ball down the field. John Gibbs continues to get better whereas transfers Zerick Rollins and T.J. Menning are becoming more in sync with their passes. Freshmen Khaderal Hodge and Lenorris Footman are progressing behind center as well.
Arnold Walker and Anthony Williams III continue to impress the coach's everyday with their nifty moves and ability to find the open holes in the defense.
The defensive front has become stronger with the addition of Deion Roberson, Deion McNair, and transfer Jamil Cook. Secondary coach, Cedric Thomas, has the defensive backs shutting down almost every play.
The Braves keep on rolling through preseason camp today at 9 a.m., preparing for Edward Waters.
