WHAT TO LOOK FOR ON SATURDAY...........


STORYLINES
-This game marks the Braves fifth home game of the 2014 football season.

-The Braves are 4-0 at Spinks-Casem Stadium this season with wins over Virginia Univ. of Lynchburg, Louisiana College, Southern and Alabama State.

-Alcorn goes into Saturday's game with a 5-2 overall record and 3-1 record in SWAC play after last Saturday's loss to Grambling State 28-21.

-The Braves and Tigers meet for the 53rd time in both of the school's history with the Braves leading the series 29-20 with four ties.

-In the last 10 meetings, the Braves have had a slight advantage with a 6-4 record vs. the Tigers.

-Last season the Braves defeated the Tigers 20-13 in Houston, Texas.

-The last time Texas Southern visited Spinks-Casem Stadium, quarterback John Gibbs, Jr. completed 19-of-39 passes for 243 yards and threw two touchdowns.

-Head Coach Jay Hopson and Texas Southern's Head Coach Darrell Asberry meet for the third time in their coaching careers with Hopson leading the series 2-0 between the two.
