Alexandria Harris and
Jazmin Castillo have been selected as Southwestern Athletic Conference Players of the Week. Both players are first time honorees on the season, Harris received the top hitter award while Castillo picked up pitcher of the week.

Castillo pitched a total of 18.1 innings during the week against Alabama State and Ole Miss. She went 2-1 in a weekend series win over Alabama State with a total of six strikeouts and allowed 31 hits. She pitched two complete games in game one and game three in the weekend series win.

Harris averaged .714 at the plate and collected 10 hits, 13 RBI, five runs, four doubles, and three homeruns on 14 at bats this past week against in-state SEC opponent Ole Miss and SWAC East foe Alabama State. Against Ole Miss, she recorded two runs, two hits, and three RBIs and added a homerun in the Lady Braves loss to the Rebels. Over the weekend, she led the Lady Braves to a 2-1 series win over Alabama State. She hit four doubles, racked up 10 RBI, and hit two key homeruns in game three to helped the Lady Braves capture the weekend series. Harris finished with a 1.64 slugging percentage and a .750 on base percentage on the week.
