Wild Card Wednesday: Frances Reynolds

Kicking off the first edition of Wild Card Wednesday is wide receiver Frances Reynolds.  Reynolds was a member of the Braves from 1971 to 1974 and produced some great numbers within those four years.  His actual position was running back but was moved to wide receiver at the beginning of his career.

In 1972, Reynolds caught 25 passes for 392 yards and scored four touchdowns.  He was named to the 1972 All-SWAC 1st Team Offense.

Reynolds played in nine games for the Braves in 1973 and recorded 25 catches for 407 yards and scored four touchdowns.

He earned 1st Team All-SWAC offensive honors once again after reeling in 33 catches for 542 yards and four touchdowns.  Reynolds and the Braves posted a 9-2 record en route to a SWAC and Black College National Championship.

Reynolds finished his career with 88 catches, 1,446 yards and 12 touchdowns.  He was drafted in 1975 by the then Los Angeles Rams
