Alcorn Revamps Football Locker Room at Jack Spinks-Marino Casem Stadium

LORMAN, Miss. – Alcorn State University unveiled its new football locker room additions at Jack Spinks-Marino Casem Stadium before the homecoming football game against Texas Southern.

"The University and athletics department were committed to improving the locker room for our student-athletes," said director of athletics Derek Horne. "This is just a start for us as we look to improve our facilities on campus. I'm really excited about the direction we're headed."

Locker room renovations included new wall designs, murals on entry ways, painted logos and repainted walls, historical photos of teams and players on display and showcased helmets and jerseys.

"The locker room is looking really good. We're trying to build our program a certain way and having facilities that compete with everybody else in the country is a big part of it," said Alcorn head coach Fred McNair.

The Braves have two more home games this season beginning Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. when it hosts Southern University. Alcorn closes out the regular season at home against Jackson State on Nov. 19.
