Box Score 2 Lafayette, La. - After upsetting Rutgers University on day one of the Rajin' Cajun Softball Invitational at Lamson Park, Alcorn State went scoreless versus No. 6-ranked University of Louisiana-Lafyette and Rutgers.
Game One
Rutgers Down Braves, 10-0
JAZMIN CASTILLO got the nod in the circle for the Lady Braves. Castillo held her own for the first two and a third innings before surrendering five runs (four earned) and six hits.
Rutger added five more runs in the top of the fourth, to seal the victory.
Game 2
Alcorn State Falls to No. 6-ranked University of Louisiana-Lafayette
Alcorn State was held hitless against No. 6-ranked University of Louisiana-Lafayette in game two of tournament action.
Alcorn struck out nine times in the five innings. No.6 Louisiana scored in every inning, recording four three-run frames.

ASHLEY BREAL gave up 12 hits, 12 runs and walked four while striking out three.
Alcorn State will return to action on Sunday when they take on No.6 Louisiana again to close out the Rajin' Cajun Invitational.
