Alcorn State University to Host NASCAR Combine

On March 8, 2016 Alcorn State University will host the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing Drive for Diversity Combine for former student-athletes. The NASCAR Drive for Diversity Crew Member Development Program seeks minority male and female senior athletes from all sports. The selection process is based on athletes who are recommended by coaches and athletic directors.

The program seeks student-athletes with a general interest in motorsports, extreme sports, the auto industry and individuals who possess a strong sense of character and work ethic. These athletes are challenged with drills that showcase their flexibility, agility and strength. Selected athletes are offered an invitation to train and be a part of NASCAR's Drive for Diversity Crew Member Development Training Program, located in Charlotte, NC.
