LORMAN, Miss. – The Alcorn State University cheerleading team will host its fall Mini Cheer Camp on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Davey L. Whitney Complex.
Campers aged 4-17 years old will learn proper motions, techniques, jumps, cheer, dance and basic stunt technique. The camp is intended to improve all youth cheerleading skills.
Alcorn cheerleaders will be on-hand to help teach and supervisor the camp along with AACCA certified coaches. Campers will mingle with the cheerleaders during a day filled with games and activities.
Campers are advised to wear athletic shoes and clothing. Hair must be pulled back and off the shoulders, and jewelry or gum is not permissible.
Registration begins 30 minutes before the camp begins at 9:30 a.m. and the cost is $30. Door prizes will be given out. For further questions, contact Kelunda Robinson at alcorncheer@gmail.com.
