VICKSBURG, Miss. – The Alcorn State University A-Club will sponsor the 2016 Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Friday, Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. inside the Vicksburg Convention Center.

The honorees include Dorothy J. Bartee, Rodderic Bell, Willie Blair, Melvin G. Cooper, Harry Gooden, Molly Hence, Issiac Holt, Chris Holloway, Regina Y. Huston, Milton Mack Lane, Mary J. Rhymes, Edmonia V. Swanier, Ella Pearl Williams Colbert, Gregory D. Williams and Mario Willis.

"The Alcorn State University A-Club is always enthused to recognize men and women who have made outstanding contributions to the success of our various athletic programs and to humanity," said Davis Weathersby, A-Club Committee Member. "It is our mission to give our former athletes the honor they deserve."

In addition to the induction ceremony, the honorees will also be recognized at Alcorn's first football home game on Saturday, Sept. 10 when it hosts Alabama State at 6 p.m. inside Jack Spinks-Marino Casem Stadium.
