OXFORD, Miss. – After a week and a half off from competition, the Alcorn State University men's tennis program will take the courts again Sunday when it faces Ole Miss in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center.

In their last outing, the Braves (7-17, 4-2 SWAC) defeated Delta State 6-1. Seniors
Nikita Kostikov and
Nischay Rawal, junior
Kert Kilumets and sophomore
Nuno Rocha all won in both singles and doubles.

Alcorn has also won three of its last four matches including a 4-1 result over Arkansas Pine-Bluff and a 4-0 decision over Prairie View A&M.

Kilumets is having a huge season as he's 12-6 overall in singles and 5-0 against SWAC opponents. He's 4-2 at No. 1 singles and 8-2 at No. 2. He's won four matches in a row.

Rocha has been hot as of late and is on a three-match winning-streak. At No. 4 singles, Rawal is 8-6 on the year and 4-0 SWAC.

Ole Miss (10-8, 4-6 SEC) is 5-0 against the SWAC this year, all resulting in sweeps. It swept a pair of doubleheaders against UAPB and blanked Jackson State 4-0. Fabian Fallert is having the best season for the Rebels with a 12-3 record and 7-1 in conference. He's played at the No. 4, 5 and 6 singles positions.

The Braves will wrap-up the regular season Tuesday in a 2 p.m. match at William Carey along with the Lady Braves. The 2017 SWAC Championships is slated for April 14-16 at the Pepsi Tennis Center in New Orleans.
