Freshman Shamarah Shannon made an immediate impact in her first collegiate meet for the Lady Braves as she earned third-place out of 54 competitors in the women's 200m Saturday. Shannon followed it up with a ninth-place showing out of 61 in the 400m Sunday with a score of 59.09.

Fellow freshman Kiana Allen also earned a podium spot after tallying an 11.10m in the triple jump Sunday which was good for third-place. It came after she posted a 10.88m in Saturday's triple jump to grab seventh-place.

Another big showing came in the women's 60m hurdles Sunday when sophomore DeKari Courtney qualified for the finals. After advancing past both the preliminaries and semifinals, Courtney tallied a 9.09 which earned her seventh-place. Courtney also notched a 13th-place high jump score of 1.50m that same day.

The men were led by sophomore Josias Jean who ran a personal-record of 50.11m in the 400m. The time was good for eighth-place.

The men ended the weekend strong with an eighth-place time of 3:29.53 in the 4x400m relay. The Braves were represented by Curry, sophomore Jeremy Gamble, freshman Javon Rutledge and Saint-Cyrin.
