LORMAN, Miss. – In a late addition to the schedule, the Alcorn State University men's track & field team will get one final tune-up for the SWAC Indoor Championships this weekend at the Bulldog Invitational hosted by Samford University.

"We are always going to give 100 percent no matter what the outcome is," said head coach Jimmy Joseph. "We had a few kids that's just coming back from injuries and they needed to get in more competition so they could have a fair chance at conference."

Last time the men saw action was in the Jaguar Invitational on February 2, the women will not be partaking in this meet.

In that meet, junior Bralon Robinson showed off his blazing speed, posting the SWAC's fastest 60m dash time of the season to win the event with a time of 6.77 seconds. Robinson was recognized by the conference with his third career SWAC Track Athlete of the Week award as a result.

Fellow classmate Josias Jean recorded a top-ten finish in the 400m, clocking in at 50.34 seconds.

Sophomore Elliott Pak logged a new personal record, setting his new benchmark at 2:21.41 in the 800m.

In the field, sophomore Ashton DeFreeze tossed the shot put 6.99 meters in his first career attempt while senior James Graves leaped 2.49 meters in the long jump.

In addition to the student-athletes listed above, six other Braves student-athletes participated in their respective events.
