BEAUMONT, Texas – The Alcorn State University men's tennis program fell short Friday in a doubleheader as Lamar took a pair of matches 6-0 and 6-0 at the Thompson Family Tennis Center.

Senior
Gjorgji Popovski maintained a 4-4 record at No. 1 singles as his match in the first competition went unfinished. He did not play in the second.

Freshman
Lucas Dini returned to action after an injury and won a total of 10 games over two matches. He played both No. 3 and No. 2 singles.

Alcorn's next two matches are both at home including a 12 p.m. Sunday contest against Troy. The Braves will also host Delta State on Monday, Feb. 17 at the Alcorn Tennis Courts.

The Lady Braves will also be in action this weekend when they travel to Ole Miss on Saturday in a 1 p.m. start. They'll also play at home on Feb. 17 against Delta State.
