Bralon Robinson Selected As SWAC Track Athlete of the Week

LORMAN, Miss. – Junior sprints runner Bralon Robinson was announced as the SWAC Track Athlete of the Week by the league office on Friday afternoon.

The Canton, Mississippi native is the second Braves athlete to earn the award this season as sophomore JaKobe Rogers earned that distinction on January 15 as well.

Robinson placed first in the preliminaries of the 60m dash last weekend at the Jaguar Invitational by running a time of 6.80 seconds to advance to the finals. He would go on to outdo himself in the finale, posting an even faster mark of 6.77 to edge Alabama State's Norris Spike by a single second to claim the top spot on the podium.

His 6.77 finish was the quickest recorded time of any runner in the conference for that event during the indoor season.

Robinson and the track & field program will conclude its indoor season on February 21-22 with the SWAC Championships in Birmingham, Alabama.
