FORT WORTH, Texas - The Alcorn State University men's and women's track and field teams will open their outdoor slate Saturday at the Jet Relays.
The Braves were last in action at the 2020 SWAC Indoor Track and Field Championships in Birmingham, Alabama. Junior Bralon Robinson led the way earning All-SWAC honors in the 60m dash. Robinson finished the indoor season ranked No. 59 in the country.

Robinson and fellow junior Josias Jean will lead the men's team into the competition this weekend. Robinson and Jean are searching for strong opening marks in the 100m and 400m hurdles, respectively, to establish good position in the regional rankings early in the year.
On the women's side, junior Dekari Courtney will compete in the 110m hurdles and expects to run well this weekend. Freshman Runelda Jackson looks to post a strong time in the 5000m run after breaking the indoor school record at the 2020 Indoor SWAC Championships.
The Jet Relays will feature 10 schools including Southern, Grambling and Prairie View A&M.
