Top-10 Wins of 2019-20: #9 Softball Rallies on Opening Day to Defeat Tennessee State

FLORENCE, Ala. – Coming in at No. 9, the Alcorn State University softball program opened its season with a 5-2 victory over Tennessee State, which included five runs in the seventh inning.
 
The Lady Braves trailed 1-0 heading into the final frame when they tied it on an error and took the lead on an RBI single by senior Simone McKinney. Alcorn tacked on three more insurance runs, and senior Ambria Dorsey threw a complete-game in the circle to earn the win.
 
McKinney and junior Desirea Lindsey both knocked two hits in the game. Dorsey struck out five and surrendered just one earned run.
