Alcorn National Alumni Association Hosts Virtual Happy Hour Thursday with New Head Coaches

LORMAN, Miss. – The Alcorn State University National Alumni Association will host a Virtual Happy Hour on Thursday at 7 p.m. via Zoom.

The event will feature special guests from Alcorn including men's basketball head coach Landon Bussie, women's basketball head coach Nathaniel Kilbert and women's soccer head coach Kevin Larry.

"During the pandemic, everybody has been stuck in the house without many opportunities to really socialize. We wanted to host this event to not only lift the spirits of individuals who've had to stay at home, but also promote Alcorn," said National Alumni Association membership committee chairperson Tracy Daniel-Hardy. "The goal is to energize Alcornites, help increase awareness about National Alumni Association membership and we want to make it fun."

Everyone is welcome to participate. The Zoom meeting ID is 845 3201 1986.

"We'd like to thank the National Alumni Association for putting on this event. They've done an outstanding job of giving our coaches and student-athletes exposure and we're grateful for the work and support of the members," said director of athletics Derek Horne. "The event will be a great opportunity for Alcornites across the country to meet and interact with our new head coaches, and I encourage everyone to participate."
