Lander Named Assistant Director of Sports Information

LORMAN, Miss. – Morganne Lander has been hired as the Assistant Director of Sports Information at Alcorn State University.

Lander spent two years as a graduate assistant in the athletic communications department at Missouri State University. She served as primary contact for the women's soccer, men's and women's swimming and diving, and women's tennis programs while also holding social media and graphic design duties for the Bears' 16 Division I sports.

"I am excited for the opportunity to join Alcorn State University," said Lander. "I am looking forward to promoting the student athletes' accomplishments and being part of the Braves' community."

Prior to arriving at Missouri State, Lander worked at Newberry College as an athletic communications intern covering volleyball, men's basketball, women's lacrosse, men's and women's tennis, and men's and women's golf. She also gained sports information experience as a student volunteer at her alma mater the University of North Florida.

"We are thrilled to have Morganne on staff. She's very passionate about athletics, and her superior graphic design skills and expertise in social media will greatly enhance our department. I can't wait for her to get started," said Robbie Kleinmuntz, assistant athletic director for sports information.

Lander earned her bachelor's degree in communications from the University of North Florida in 2017, and her master's degree in sports management from Missouri State University in 2020.
