Braves men’s basketball team secures 3 straight wins

Montgomery, AL. – The Alcorn State University Braves men's basketball team (4-11, 3-0 SWAC) capped off an impressive three-game road stint when they defeated the Alabama State University Hornets (3-13, 2-2 SWAC) 70-60 Monday, Jan. 10. The win puts the Braves on a three-game winning streak on the road.
 
Paul King put in 15 points off the bench to lead the Braves in scoring. Lenell Henry added 14 points along with four assists. Oddyst Walker contributed 13 points and Keondre Montgomery had 12 points.
 
The Braves will host their first home game of the season Saturday, Jan. 15 at 3:30 p.m….. against Texas Southern University at the Davey L. Whitney Complex.
