@AlcornStateFB to be featured in Six SWAC TV Contests

LORMAN, Miss. – Alcorn State Football will be featured in six (6) Southwestern Athletic Conference broadcast games to be carried live across ESPN's linear and digital platforms throughout the 2022 season, as announced by the conference office in Birmingham, Alabama. All games broadcast by ESPN are available through the WatchESPN app and any time on-demand through ESPN+.
 
Under the direction of sixth-year head coach Fred McNair, Alcorn State will feature on ESPN twice in its three nonconference games, beginning with a trip to Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) opponent Tulane on September 10. The game will be carried on ESPN+ with kickoff set for 6 p.m.
 
The following weekend, the Braves wrap-up nonconference play with a trip to McNeese State on September 17, with the game streaming on ESPN+ at 7 p.m.
 
The Purple and Gold will take on in-state opponent Mississippi Valley State (October 8) at Rice – Totten Stadium in Itta Bena, Mississippi in the first of six (6) ESPN broadcast games across league play, with kickoff against the Delta Devils scheduled for 6 p.m.
 
The following weekend's trip to Southern University (October 15) will also be on ESPN+ at 6 p.m.
 
Alcorn hosts Texas Southern to Jack Spinks – Marino Casem Stadium on October 22, with the game to be carried on ESPN+ at 2 p.m. A trip to Grambling State (October 29) will be streamed on ESPN+ with that kickoff time recently announced as 2 p.m. in Grambling, Louisiana.
 
The Braves travel to Prairie View A&M for a "Friday Night Under the Lights" affair inside Panther Stadium at Blackshear Field on Friday, November 4, with the game airing on ESPNU at 7:30 p.m.
 
The regular season concludes with the "Soul Bowl" against in-state opponent Jackson State (November 19), as the game will run on ESPN+ with kickoff scheduled for 2 p.m., at Jack Spinks – Marino Casem Stadium.
 
The 2022 Cricket SWAC Football Championship Game is slated to be shown live on ESPN2 on Saturday, December 3, at 3 p.m. (CST).
