THIBODAUX, La. – The Alcorn State men's tennis team dropped a road match at Nicholls State University on Tuesday at Thibodaux Regional Sports Complex. The defeat moves the Braves to 0-6 on the season, while the Colonels improve to 2-3.
Junior player Luka Andonov earned his first individual win of the season, beating Lukas Morand 6-4, 4-6, 10-7 on the third court for Alcorn's only point of the day.
The Colonel grabbed an early lead sweeping the doubles court for their first point. In the singles matchups, Nicholls state took courts one, four, two, and five. Their sixth point was given on court six as a win by default.
Alcorn will continue its four-game road stretch as they travel to Beaumont, Texas, to take on Lamar University on Friday, Feb. 10. The first serves are set for 3 p.m.
