LORMAN, Miss. -- Alcorn State University Athletics Department and Braves Football welcomes Aaron Anguiano to the coaching staff. Anguiano enters his first season as the wide receivers coach for Alcorn State Football in 2024.
Anguiano comes to "The Reservation" after a stint as offensive coordinator at Itawamba Community College in 2023. During his year at ICC, the offense finished with the second leading rusher in the NJCAA in Charleston French. Before ICC, he helped resurrect Bluefield State University Football program (NCAA Division II) after a forty-one year absence in 2021. While serving as the offensive coordinator in 2022, the Bluefield State Offense broke multiple school passing and receiving records.
From 2018-2020, Anguiano worked in multiple capacities at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. In 2020, as the Running Backs Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the Golden Lions. The 2018 and 2019 seasons saw Anguiano serve as an assistant wide receivers Coach at UAPB. In 2019, he helped develop Arkansas-Pine Bluff's Harry Ballard as he won Southwestern Athletic Conference All-Conference honors. During the 2018 season, he helped coach UAPB's wide receiver group that featured FCS Freshman All-American Dejuan Miller.
Prior to joining the Golden Lions staff, Anguiano served as running backs coach at Fullerton College, a California junior college. The Hornets finished the 2017 season as Junior College National Champions and featured JUCO All-American RB Gerald Hulett.
Anguiano grew up in Huntington Beach, CA and graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor's in Mathematics.
