CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Alcorn State University men's tennis (2-10) traveled to face Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi (11-5) at the Houston Jewish Community Center on Friday and Saturday. The Braves fought hard but lost both matches, 0-6 and 1-4.

Match 1
At No. 1 singles, Alcorn's Nikola Kijac was defeated by Avery Zavala with scores of 3-6 and 3-6. Emmanuel Cottle played at No. 2 singles and was defeated by Etienne Marty
with scores of 4-6 and 1-6. In the No. 3 singles, David Leon was defeated by Iannis Fernandes with scores of 3-6 and 0-6. Yangho Park was defeated at No. 4 singles by Antoine Vicaire with scores of 1-6 and 1-6. At No. 5 singles, Luka Andonov was defeated by Nicolas Trebuchet with scores of 4-6 and 0-3.

At No. 1 doubles, Kijac and Cottle were defeated by Zavala and Marty, 0-6. Park and Leon played at No. 2 doubles and were defeated by Vicaire and Coignet, 5-7.

Match 2
On the second day, Kijac was defeated by Zavala at No. 1 singles, 3-6 and 0-6. Cottle fell to Marty at No. 2 singles with scores of 2-6 and 3-6. At No. 3 singles, Park was defeated by Vicaire, 7-6 (7-5), 5-7 and 6-10. Leon played at No. 4 singles and was defeated by Trebuchet, 1-6 and 3-6.

In doubles at No. 1, Kijac and Cottle were defeated by Zavala and Marty, 2-6. Park and Leon played No. 2 doubles and were defeated by Vicaire and Coignet, 4-6.
