Jackson, Miss – (Nov. 18, 2025) – The Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame & Museum is thrilled to announce the nine nominees for the 2025 C Spire Conerly Trophy, one of the most anticipated honors in Mississippi sports. Each year, the trophy is presented to the top college football player in the state, and this year carries special significance as the award celebrates its 30th anniversary.
Named in honor of Mississippi Sports Hall of Famer Charlie Conerly, the legendary Ole Miss quarterback who went on to star for the New York Giants, the Conerly Trophy has become a defining symbol of excellence, toughness, and leadership in Mississippi football. For three decades, it has recognized the very best student-athletes who elevate their teams, represent their programs with pride, and showcase the unmatched football tradition of our state.
Each four-year college and university in Mississippi with a football program may nominate one player, and this year's nominees represent an exciting mix of veteran leaders, high-impact performers, and rising stars.
