LORMAN, Miss. – The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) released its 2025 Preseason Women's Soccer Predicted Order of Finish on Thursday, with Alcorn State picked to finish eighth overall.

The Lady Braves earned 43 total points in the poll, as voted on by the league's head coaches and sports information directors. While Alcorn State enters the fall with a young and determined roster, the team is looking to build on last season's growth under Head Coach Ken Kabiru, who enters his first full season at the helm.

"We see the preseason poll as a starting point, not a limitation," said Coach Kabiru. "Our student-athletes have put in the work this offseason and are motivated to show what Alcorn soccer is capable of. We're embracing the challenge and looking to climb the ranks week by week."

Southern was picked to win the conference, receiving 108 points and seven first-place votes. Texas Southern (102 points, 4 first-place votes) and Grambling State (101 points) rounded out the top three.
