LORMAN, Miss. – Alcorn Football will play a week zero game versus Miles at home inside Jack Spinks-Marino Casem Stadium it was announced Tuesday, April 28, by Alcorn Athletic Director
E. D'Wayne Robinson.
The game is scheduled for August 29, with a 6 p.m. kickoff.
"This week zero game gives us five exciting games in Lorman [Mississippi] for the upcoming season," remarked Robinson, recently completing his second year as Athletic Director for Alcorn. "Miles has a wonderful following from their fans and alumni. And we'll have some activities and other things surrounding the game, many of which we'll be announcing in the coming weeks."

"Miles had a tremendous 2024 season, and they're looking to get right back to where they feel they belong within the SIAC in 2026," commented Alcorn Football Head Coach
Cedric Thomas. "Coach [Sam] Shade has been doing a phenomenal job over there, and we're looking forward to an exciting contest in week zero. It should be a great game."
As stated by Robinson, activities and the theme for the game will be announced in the coming weeks leading into the summer and closer to the date of the game.
The week zero opportunity now gives the Braves true home games against Miles, Texas Southern, Arkansas Baptist, Florida A&M and Jackson State on the 2026 schedule.
