HBCU GO Reveals Alcorn Football Broadcasts

Braves to be featured three times on HBCU GO

LORMAN, Miss. – It was revealed this week that Alcorn Football will have three games broadcast on HBCU GO for the 2026 season, with all games played away from the Lorman, Mississippi campus.

HBCU GO is a free-streaming digital platform and television network dedicated to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), featuring live sports, original series, and documentaries. Acquired by Byron Allen's Allen Media Group in 2021, it acts as a leading media provider for Black excellence, showcasing football, basketball, and cultural content.

Alcorn's first HBCU GO contest will be the 37th Southern Heritage Classic versus Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) opponent Arkansas-Pine Bluff in the league-opener for both teams. The game between the Braves and Golden Lions will be played for the second consecutive season at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Memphis, Tennessee, on September 12, at 6 p.m. CDT.

"Any time we are shown on TV around the world, especially on a platform like HBCU GO, we are thrilled," expressed second-year Alcorn Head Coach Cedric Thomas. "It just expands the Alcorn brand, and helps us show the good things we're doing here in Lorman. I appreciate HBCU GO for continuing to show the Braves each and every year."

The second game of the HBCU GO slate for the Braves includes a trip to SWAC opponent Prairie View A&M on October 17, as Alcorn faces the Panthers on a Prairie View A&M homecoming weekend in Prairie View, Texas. Kickoff for that game is set for 2 p.m. CDT.

Finally, Alcorn travels to traditional Western Division foe Southern (La.) On November 14, with HBCU GO covering the action in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A time for kickoff will be announced at a later date.
