LORMAN, Miss. – The 2026 edition of Alcorn Football opens Saturday, August 29, when the Braves welcome the Miles Bears to Jack Spinks – Marino Casem Stadium for a nonconference affair set for a 6 p.m. kickoff. The game will be televised by SWAC TV.

Cedric Thomas is now in his third year at the helm of the Alcorn Football program. The Arkansas-Pine Bluff graduate of 2001 holds a record of 11-13 overall with the Purple and Gold. He has never faced the Bears as a head coach in his career at either UAPB or Alcorn, respectively.
