ALCORN STATE, MS -- The Lady Braves soccer team returned home after being on the road for three games in the past two weeks against Nicholls State. Despite the hard fought effort the Lady Braves put up, Nicholls State was just too much today defeating the Lady Braves 4-1.
Deborah Quaye was able to score the first goal of the season in the first half of play to cut the lead to 2-1. But the second half belong to the visiting Colonels scoring two more goals to finish off the Lady Braves. The Colonels were led by Janelle Brandom who scored two goals and issued out an assist for the game.
The Lady Braves are now 0-7 with hopes of picking of their first win on Friday when they travel to Itta Bena, MS to face Mississippi Valley in their first SWAC contest of the season.
