Alcorn State routs J-State 57-46

Braves sweep Tigers during the regular season

Jackson, MS--Ke'Dorian Sullivan scored 14 points to lead the Braves in a 57-46 win over rival, Jackson State.

The Braves came out strong in the opening minutes with Alcorn State's Twann Oakley banking a three from downtown to start the game.  Ke'Dorian Sullivan's dunk gave the Braves the spark they needed to keep up their tempo of the game.

Alcorn State commanded an eight point lead at the half with a score of 21-13.
 
The Braves continued to dominate the game during the second half, extending their lead by as many as 18 points.  Jackson State was able to cut Alcorn's lead to three, but was never able to capture the lead.
 
Alcorn State shot 39% from field goal range while hitting 18 of 27 (66.7 %) at the free throw line.  The Braves were out-rebounded by the Tigers 39-34.
 
Other Braves in double digits were Xavian Rimmer with 12 and Michael Starks with 10 points.
