Alcorn State Downs Prairie View, 103-79

Garland, TX—The Braves elevated their level of play as they crushed Prairie View 103-79.

Alcorn State shot an alarming 62.5 % from downtown in the first half as they dominated the entire first half with the team making 17 points off of the Panther's turnovers.

The Braves took a twenty-three point lead in the locker room with a score of 50-17.

In second half action, Alcorn State continued to flex its scoring muscle as they lead by as many as 45 points.  The bench contributed 15 points as the Braves never backed down from their scoring and defense to defeat Prairie View, 103-79.

Senior Ken McDonald led all scorers with 26 points.  Other Braves in double digits were: KeDorian Sullivan (16), Anthony Nieves (16), Xavian Rimmer (15) and Martrevious Sanders (12).

Alcorn State shot 63 % from field goal range, and 76.9 percent from the charity stripe.

The Braves will face Texas Southern tomorrow at 2:30 pm.  Fans can listen live on WPRL 91.7 FM.
