Braves Nipped by Tigers, 7-2

Baton Rouge, LA--The Braves winningless skid continued as they lost to SEC opponent, LSU by a score of 7-2. After one and half innings with no score from either team, the Tigers' Jordyn Snikeris hit a home run to give LSU a 1-0 lead. 

Alcorn State answered back in the third inning as Joshua Powell singled to center field scoring Antolin Morales.

The Tigers increased their lead by two runs in the home half of the fifth as Hanover and Katz scored. Alcorn State's lone score of the seventh inning came as Eduardo Gonzalez hit a homer to left field put the Braves within one run of LSU.

LSU picked up a pair of runs in the bottom half of the seventh inning to extend their lead to 5-2 over Alcorn State. 

The Braves bats did not produce any more runs as LSU scored twice more in the 8th inning to defeat Alcorn, 7-2.

Alcorn State will return to action tomorrow as they travel to New Orleans to face Tulane.
