New Orleans, LA--With both teams going scoreless for the first three innings, Tulane closed out the bottom half of the fourth inning scoring four runs. The Greenwaves continued to dominate in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings scoring a total of 10 runs collectively in those three innings.
Alcorn State's only score of the game came in the ninth inning as
Ryant Piper scored off a single to center field by Domonique Griffith.
Alex Byo picked up the win for Tulane as Joan Ortiz captured the loss.
The Braves will return to SWAC play this weekend as they travel to Itta Bena, Mississippi to face the Delta Devils of Mississippi Valley. Saturday's game will be a doubleheader with the first pitch set for 12 PM. Sunday's game will begin at 1 pm.
