Hornets Outlast Braves, 11-7

Montgomery, AL--Alabama State took control of the Braves/Hornets series by winning game three of the series 11-7. 
The Braves struck in the second inning as Christian Hickman doubled to left field scoring Antolin Morales, Justin Perales and Eduardo Gonzalez.  In the top of the third, Eduardo Gonzalez homered to left center to give the Braves a 4-0 lead. 

The Hornets answered back in the bottom half of the Marrero homered to right field. 
Alcorn State went cold for the next five innings as Alabama State scored a total of 10 runs in the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh innings to give them an 11-4 lead over Alcorn State. 

With neither team scoring in the eighth, the Braves' Alvin Jackson scored off a single from Devante
Taylor.  Eduardo Gonzalez doubled to right field scoring Devante Taylor and Joshua PowellAngel Rosa struck out swing which ended the inning for the Braves.

Eduardo Gonzalez had five at bats with three hits, two runs and three RBIs.  Ricciardi captured the win for the Hornets as Sanchez picked up the loss for the Braves.

 The Braves will return to action on April 5-7, 2012 as they face C-USA opponent, Southern Miss in a three game series.
