Alcorn State, MS—Alcorn State captured their 13
th SWAC win with a 10-2 victory over Alabama State.
In the first inning,
Ryant Piper scored off a single by Eduardo Gonzalez to give the Braves a 1-0 lead over the Hornets. Both teams would go scoreless in the second inning, but Alcorn State's Gonzalez scored in the home half of the third inning to give Alcorn a 2-0 advantage over Alabama State.
The Braves picked up two runs in the fourth inning as
Alvin Jackson scored off a single by

The Hornets picked up their first run of the game in the top of the fifth inning as Mims scored with Muniz's double.
Alcorn State cracked open the seventh inning scoring four runs by Jann Butler, Gabriel LeBron,
Angel Rosa and
Alvin Jackson.
Alabama State scored their final run on the game in the top of the eighth with a single from Gonzalez while Marrero scored.
Rodney Warren homered for the ninth time this season and Jann Butler scored with a single from Antolin Morales to give the Braves a 10-2 score over Alabama State.
Steve Easter recorded the win for the Braves while Joel Alvira picked up the loss for Alabama State.
