Lady Braves Suffer Third Straight Loss to Alabama A&M, 64-44

Box Score Huntsville, AL-The Lady Braves couldn't get into a rhythm tonight at Alabama A&M.  The Lady Bulldogs dominated the paint the entire game and defeated the Lady Braves 64-44 at T.M. Elmore Gym.
 
The Lady Braves took an early 4-2 lead on a jumper by Anastasia Tuset.  Not too much later, the Lady Bulldogs forward Ebony Johnson, scored on a layup to retake the lead 6-4. 
 
Carolinsia Crumbly made a layup with 13:01 to in the first half to give the Lady Braves their second lead of the game, 11-9.
 
The Lady Bulldogs jumped back on top and started to pull away when guard Alyssa Strickland knocked down a three-pointer to give the Lady Bulldogs an eight-point lead 19-11.
 
The lead pushed to 10 points, 27-17, on a layup by the Brittney Strickland with 2:57 to play in the first half. 
 
Alyssa Strickland would connect on a three-pointer with .14 seconds left in the first half to give the Lady Bulldogs a 32-20 lead going into the locker room
 
Alabama A&M forced 11 Lady Braves turnovers in the first half.
 
The Lady Bulldogs continued to increase their double digit lead to 13, 41-27 on a layup by Shundray Davis.  After that, The Lady Braves couldn't close the gap.
 
The Lady Bulldogs scored 34 points in the paint.
 
Tierra Frost was the only Lady Brave player in double figures with 11 points.
 
The Lady Bulldogs had four players in double figures led by Davis and Brittney Strickland with 13 points apiece.  Jasmine Sanders and Alyssa Strickland chipped in 12 and 10 points, respectively.
 
The Lady Braves (1-15, 1-6) are back in action Monday night when they travel Montgomery to take on Alabama State.  Tip-off is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
