Box Score Lorman, Miss.-The Lady Braves won the battle on the glass 34-32 but couldn't pick up the win tonight against the visiting Lady Jags. Southern scored 42 second half points to defeat the Lady Braves 64-53
In the first six minutes of the game, Southern University's Lady Jaguars went on a 6-0 run against the Lady Braves.
Renelle Richmond finally got the Lady Braves on the board at the 14:52 mark to cut the lead to 6-2.
Later on in the first half, junior guard Tierra Frost hit a three-pointer to give the Lady Braves their first lead of the game, 10-7. They held on to the lead until Southern's guard Adrian Sanders connected on a three-pointer to put the Lady Jaguars up by three with just under three minutes to play in the first half 19-16.
The first half ended with the Lady Braves down by two points 22-20.

Au-Juvan Andrews tied the game at 22-22 right out the locker room just 16 seconds into the second half.
The Lady Braves tried to keep the game close but Lady Jaguars had other plans. Kendra Coleman stole the ball and made a layup at the 10:37 mark to give the Lady Jaguars their largest lead of the game 41-31.
But the Lady Braves wouldn't go away. Freshman guard
Alexis Martin grabbed an offensive rebound and put it back for two points to cut the Lady Jaguars lead to 46-43. Martin made a pair of one of two free throws to make it a 48-46 game.
Southern's forward Yasmin Fuller gladly took over the game scoring seven straight points increase the Lady Jaguars lead to nine, 60-51. The Lady Jaguars closed the game with an 11-4 run to spoil the Lady Braves upset.
Crumbly led the Lady Braves with 18 points and seven rebounds.
Au-Juvan Andrews chipped in 14 points.
Fuller led the Lady Jaguars with 17 points. Lechell Rush assisted with 12 points and 9 rebounds along with Sanders who had 10 points.
The Lady Braves face the Lady Tigers of Jackson State next Saturday at the Davey L. Whitney Complex. Tip-off is set for 2:30 p.m.
