Box Score Lorman, Miss. - The Alcorn State soccer team knew coming in today that they had to win this game against Alabama A&M. The Lady Braves fought hard and managed to tie with the Lady Bulldogs 2-2 this afternoon at Spinks-Casem Stadium.
Alabama A&M got on the board first on a goal by Estelle Esperance with on 2:11 into the game.
Deborah Quaye put the Lady Braves on the board about three minutes later to tie the game at 1-1.
Quaye would score again in the first period to put the Lady Braves ahead 2-1 and the score would remain the same going into the half.
Esperance scored once again for the Lady Bulldogs to tie the game at 2-2.
Ashley Murray led the Lady Braves with nine saves.
The Lady Braves (0-6-1, 0-0-1) are back in action this Friday as they host Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The game is set begin at 4 p.m.
